10-9-18 Fishing Report

Another cloudy day today with temps reaching the mid-70’s by mid-day with no rain in the forecast until Thursday. The rivers continue to drop slowly but with the generous releases out of both reservoirs they still are unwadeable for most. The upper East Branch at Stilesville is running 1470 cfs and 61 degrees and down at Hale Eddy we have 2050 cfs and 61 degrees as well with good stain throughout the river. The upper East Branch at Harvard is running 1030 cfs and 57 degrees while down at Fishs’ Eddy we have 1900 cfs and 55 degrees and is running very clear. The mainstem is running clear as well with 4180 cfs and 59 degrees. Not much has changed over the last few weeks on the system with some days better than others and the streamer fishing has been consistently good with some dry fly activity in the afternoon hours. The Beaverkill is the best bet for wade fishing and a boat is required on any sections of the Delaware. Bring some small Olives in the #18-22 range, a few #12 Isonychia and maybe some #14 Cahills too. It looks like today and tomorrow should be good days on the water with rain most of the day Thursday. Lotsa’ Luck
